MATH
COURSE PROCEDURES

1.  MATERIALS

            Students must be prepared for class every day with:

--1- 2 inch, 3 ring binder with looseleaf paper (dividers are optional, but         recommended)

--2- clear sheet protectors

--1- folder

            --PENCILS ONLY!! Assignments completed in pen will not be accepted

            -- erasers

            -- manual pencil sharpener with collection container

            -- 1 red pen

            -- markers or colored pencils

            --Student Agenda/Homework Pad

            --Calculator

 

**supplies should be replenished as needed throughout the year

 

2.  GRADING POLICY

3.  HOMEWORK will be given on a regular basis. It will be checked as Complete, Incomplete, or Missing. We will review the answers to the previous night's homework every day. However, every Friday there will be a homework assessment of problems compiled from the week's assignments.

 

4.  GENESIS

It is your responsibility to stay aware of your progress in math class. You may login and access My Gradebook through Genesis at any time.

 

5.  MAKE UP WORK

            It is the STUDENT’S responsibility to determine what was missed due to absence from class.  You will be responsible for contacting another student if you miss class.  Double check with me, on your return, about all missed work.  If you do not make up your work in a timely manner it will be a ZERO.  Classwork and homework must be made up within the number of days in which you were absent.  Tests and quizzes must also be made up in a timely manner.  If you are absent only on the day of a test/quiz you must be prepared to make it up upon your return to school.

 

6.  EXTRA HELP

            It is your responsibility to see me for extra help if you are having trouble with a particular lesson.  There is also Peer Tutoring sessions available after school.  If you are interested, please contact me.
