6th Grade General Supplies - To Be Used for ALL Classes
These are the general supplies required by all the 6th grade teachers for the 2020-2021 school year, so regardless of your children's subject-area teachers, these supplies should cover them. If there is something special for a particular teacher, that teacher will let the children know on the first day of school.
***Please label all of the supplies with your child’s name and homeroom***
- 5 sturdy folders (plastic is best) OR a bound multi-pocket folder with a minimum of 5 pockets
- TWO 100-page marble covered composition notebooks
- ONE 1.5 inch binder
- 1 set of subject dividers for your binders
- 3 highlighters (preferably in 3 different colors)
- 1 package of colored pencils
- 1 package or 8 to 12 #2 pencils (mechanical pencils are preferred)
- 1 package or 8 to 12 blue or black ink pens
- 1 package or 8 to 12 red pens
- 1 pink eraser
- 1 large glue stick
- 2 large pencil pouches (NOT boxes – must fit in book bags with all other materials)
- 5 packs of 3 x 5 small index cards (more might be needed later in the year)
- 1 pack of 1 ½” x 2” sticky notes (more might be needed later in the year)
- 1 pack of 3” x 3” sticky notes (more might be needed later in the year)
- 1 large book sock to cover the Science textbook
- 4 packages of wide ruled loose leaf paper
- 2 dry erase markers & a clean sock/eraser
- THREE 1-gallon sized, Ziploc freezer bags (to store your extra supplies for your use throughout the year)
- 1 set of headphones or ear buds
- 1 backpack (NO rolling backpacks)
- 1 novel of your choice
- Tissues (for personal use to cut down on movement through the class)
- hand sanitizer (for personal use to cut down on movement through the class)
