Special Announcements

PLEASE CHECK THE SCHOOL'S MESSAGE CENTER AT 908-931-9696 TO BE INFORMED AS TO DELAYS AND SCHOOL CLOSURES

If Kenilworth has a weather related delayed opening, the pickup time for the buses from Elizabeth, Linden, Roselle, Rahway, Hillside and Winfield will be two hours (2 hours) from the normal pickup time.  For example, if a student is picked up at 6:30 AM at their stop and Kenilworth has a delayed opening, that student will now be picked up at 8:30 AM.

If Kenilworth is delayed and Vo-Tech is open, the procedure will be as followed; the buses will pick up one-and-one-half hour later.  Thus, the Vo-Tech AM bus will depart Harding at 9 AM instead of 7:30 AM.  It is the parents’ discretion as to whether or not they would like to take the students to Vo-Tech.  Vo-Tech 1/2 day students will be brought back to Kenilworth at 10:30 AM.  The afternoon schedule for Vo Tech will not be affected.

If the Kenilworth School District is closed and the Vo-Tech School or Magnet School is open, the Vo-Tech/Magnet bus will not run. It is the parents’ discretion as to whether or not they would like to take the students to those schools.

If your child(ren)'s sending District is closed and David Brearley is open, your child's bus will not run. It is at the parents’ discretion as to whether or not they would like to take the child to David Brearley.

If school is closed tomorrow, Wednesday, January 22nd, mid-term exams will be moved by one day (i.e. Wednesday’s exams will be on Thursday, Thursday’s exams will now be Friday and Friday’s exam will be moved until Monday the 27th).

If school is on a delayed opening schedule on Wednesday, January 22nd, Period 3 exam will be from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and then Period 4 exam will be from 11:35 a.m. until 1:35 a.m.  All students will then be released on Wednesday at 1:35 p.m. for the day.
