[Kenilworth, NJ] On Saturday November 25, 2017, the Kenilworth Schools Education Foundation hosted its first Annual Red’s Run for Kenilworth Schools.  Over 120 runners took to the streets of Kenilworth on a beautiful morning.  Sponsors such as ConnectOne Bank were on hand to provide special giveaways and raffle awards.

Red’s Run for the Kenilworth Schools is a benefit for the students of the Kenilworth Schools.  100% of race proceeds are used to fund mini-grants and special projects which go beyond the district budget.  The race is run in honor of Dave “Red” Curtin.  Red was a longtime resident of Kenilworth who served and positively impacted the schools as a teacher, coach, Board of Education member, as well as a member of the Kenilworth Schools Education Foundation Board.  Curtin made an extraordinary difference in many young peoples’ lives, and he was truly loved by all of his former players, students and colleagues. He left an indelible mark on all those to whom he taught, worked with and coached. He was a uniquely gifted individual and the success of this event
