KBOE recognizes NJ Math League Contestants

May 9, 2016: The Kenilworth Board of Education recognized Harding School students that recently participated in the NJ Math League Contest.  The Contest administered by Mrs. Griffin to Mrs. Campanile’s 6th grade Honors Math class as part of the Gifted and Talented program. The purpose of the Math Leagues contest is to give students an educationally enriching opportunity to participate in an academic activity and to gain recognition for mathematical achievement. Each contest covers topics appropriate to the grade level, geared towards promoting enjoyment in the study of mathematics. The contest acts as a mathematics enrichment program appealing to the interest of the above-average students. This contest encourages and excites student to participate in challenging academic experience, while stimulating problem solving discussions. The children complete 35 questions in a 30 minute period that increase in the level of difficulty. This year Mrs. Campanile’s 6th grade honor class placed first in Union County.
